Membership
Admission to COFGA is not an exclusive right to farmers alone. Anyone can become a member of the association for as long as you are an advocate of the natural farming system or an environmentalist at heart. Whether you are a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a poultry grower, a student, a private organisation, etc., you have a place in the association and you are all welcome to join.
Based on our association by-laws, we assign each applicant to any of three membership types namely: Participating, General, and Honorary. Depending on the type of your membership you will enjoy some exclusive priveleges and voting rights to the election of the board and officers.
Each member shall abide by the association and constitutional by-laws as set forth by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Cebu Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (COFGA). If he/she is elected to office or to the Board, he/she is bound to do his duties wholeheartedly in the name of the Association.

To those who are interested to join the association, please read on the following guidelines.
Qualifications for Membership – Applicants seeking membership to the Association shall meet the following basic qualifications:
- He/She must be at least 21 years old on the date of his/her membership.
- He/She must be a farmer, a gardener, a hobbyist, an environmentalist or anybody with great interest in any agricultural activity who has a commitment to preserve the ecological balance of our environment using the natural farming system.
- For PARTICIPATING and GENERAL MEMBERSHIP applicant, he/she must be a resident of Cebu for at least six months prior to his application for membership.
- For PARTICIPATING MEMBERSHIP, he/she must at least engage in farming or gardening in Cebu if he/she doesn’t reside in Cebu.
- HONORARY MEMBERSHIP is a privilege bestowed upon an individual or organization whose contribution in any form (monetary or otherwise) is acknowledged by the Association.
- For a company seeking HONORARY MEMBERSHIP, it shall be a legitimate and is a dully-registered entity to conduct business in its base country.
- Any individual seeking HONORARY MEMBERSHIP may not necessarily be a resident of Cebu and of any nationality.

Please attend our monthly regular meeting on July 7, 2007, a Saturday at 2 p.m. inside the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Unit 7 along M. Velez St., Cebu City.
Just bring along your 1×1 most recent ID photos (2 pcs), P50 one-time membership fee, and a monthly due of P20. You’ll be required to fill up membership form personally, thus your physical appearance is necessary.
I hope you read well the membership page and understood everything written in there regarding membership qualifications.

Hi there!
Yes, we have our regular monthly meeting on every second Saturday of the month. On October, it will be on the 13th. But for any new changes to the meeting date and venue, please keep posted by browsing to this site. All updates shall be posted on this site.
Anyways, please come to the meeting. Your attendance is a sign of your support to our organization. There will be a lot of important matters to discuss on.

Thanks for ur interest in joining our organization. Yes, you are welcome to our organization. I assume that you have read the membership page of this site already.
In order to become a member, however, you need to show up at our regular monthly meeting which shall be held on every second Saturday of the month. For October, this will be on the 13th. I will expect your attendance during nrxt month’s meeting.
The venue of our meeting is temporarily held inside the Department of Agriculture Regional Headquarters Unit VII (DA-RHU 7) compound along M. Velez St., Guadalupe, Cebu City.

I think we have a member who hails from Barili but am not sure. But we have members from Toledo, Tuburan, Mingalnilla, Dumanjug, Borbon, Camotes Island, Sogod, Talisay City, but mostly from Cebu City.
