COFGA has just acquired a TIN from the BIR courtesy of Mar ‘The Man’ Carloman. Without TIN we couldn’t receive any financial assistance from outside source. So COFGA, thru the effort of Mar Carloman, hastily filed for application for TIN after getting approval from the Securities & Exchange Commission of our organization’s registration sometime in late January this year.
TIN is important to COFGA as it would enable us to transact business legally. Donors, for example, have to be issued a receipt whatever donation or contribution they may extend to the Association. With the acquisition of TIN, the Association is now focused on the creation of a feasibility study for our proposed demo farm. This will give our prospective donors a preview of our project to which the donated funds will go.
Our demo farm project has been decided to be located in Mulao, Compostela. The proposed project will be an integrated organic farm that would host a vegetable farm, fruit orchard, a poultry house or a piggery, a tilapia farm, vermicomposting house, among others.
The farm would encompass one to two hectares of agricultural lot in the fertile valley in Mulao, a hinterland farming barangay of Compostela.
